Fashion Adventures: Thrifted Projects

A few weeks ago my good friend took me to go thrifting at Salvation Army! I haven’t gone in a while, so I was super excited to pick up a dress and a pair of shorts all for $5 :D

The stuff needed major fixing though.

1) The floral dress

This dress was sooo long that it dragged on the floor. (Can you tell from my animated pose how ridic this initially looked on me?). I looked like I was in the wrong century. But I saw potential!

Nothin’ some scissors couldn’t’ fix! I cut off about 2 feet of fabric and the shoulder pads inside.

So much better!

2) The Printed Shorts

My friend handed these to me since they were too small for her. The pattern is crazy, isn’t it? I think it would look nice with a clean white tee or a tank! There are pockets on these comfy shorts as well! They were a tad too long (way too much pattern going on) so I folded the ends and did my best sewing! I actually don’t know how to sew anything so I just did what looked like sewing haha! :p

New Accessories!

Accessorizing Adventures!

I recently picked up this necklace from H&M and am in love! The simply gold chain goes with all of my outfits! I don’t think I need to buy anymore necklaces—this one chain seems great enough :D !
