Review: Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lengthing Mascara

My friend had a $2 coupon off Revlon products, so I decided to try their new mascara in “Blackest Black.”
This mascara boasts of 24 hours of wearability, with “no flakes, or smudges,” and is “tear-proof, humidity-proof and sweat-proof.”

The wand is made up of short, stalky bristles that come to a taper at the tip.

(Before: lashes curled)

(After: One coat)

(After: Used fingers to take out clumps at the tips of lashes)

Pros -
- Super dark lashes
- really does not smudge at all! (throughout tears and wearing it for a while)
- Does an appropriate job of adding length, but the slight clumpiness adds volume/thickness too, in my opinion.
- holds a curl well (even when I splashed water on my face!)
Cons -
- Kind of hard to get off unless using an oil based remover (which it claims you should use anyway)
Overall, I am over-the-moon excited that this does not smudge on me at all (because a lot of mascaras smudge under my eyes, even waterproof ones!). This can get clumpy during application, which I don’t mind too much since I can quickly use my fingers to “squeeze” the clumpiness out of the tips of my lashes. The clumpiness at the base of my lashes help them to look more thick. But this mascara is quite hard to take off…so I don’t really grab this mascara often, unless I know I’ll be out for a long while and need a long wearing mascara. Regardless, I generally like this mascara (although it’s not on my list of favorites)…after all, a mascara that claims 24 hour wearability should be a struggle to take off…
